I received a letter in the mail from our state that our homestudy was approved by the state DHS and it was mailed to the Memphis US Immigration office. I am filing our immigration paperwork this week and then we just wait for our fingerprint appointment at the federal building in Jackson, MS. After that, we wait for the notorious 171H. It is the piece of paper that is worth more than gold. It is actually priceless. Without that piece of paper, our baby can't get his or her visa to come back to the U.S.
I have sent our notarized homestudy to Taiwan to be translated. The only thing for us to do now is save money like crazy so that we will be ready when we get the call that we have a new baby. Please pray for us and pray that God will provide the finances that we need to bring our new baby home.

HOMESTUDY FINALIZED!
Our homestudy is finally done and off to the state for approval. After it has been approved by the state, it will be sent to our US immigration office in Memphis, TN. We will be filing our immigration paperwork next week and I will be sending a copy of our homestudy to Taiwan to be translated. Then we just wait. Please pray for us during the waiting period. I am ok if I have something to do, but I get stir crazy if I have nothing to do. I have started making fleece blankets to raise money for the adoption and that is keeping pretty busy. You can see pictures of the blankets by going to www.henleytaiwanadoptionfundraisers.blogspot.com.

FLEECE BLANKETS FOR SALE - I am making these to raise money for our adoption.
I have started making fleece blankets to help us raise money for the adoption. These blankets are very warm. They are double fleeced with tied fringes. THEY ARE SO CUTE! I made one for Olivia and when a friend of mine saw it, she said, "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT! IT IS SO CUTE!" I told her that I made and she asked if I could make one for her daughter for Christmas. Below you will see a picture of the one I made for my friend's little girl. She in turn told her mother-in-law and another one of her friends. I then had two more orders. I now have a total of 7 blanket orders in a wide variety of sizes and designs. The cost of the blankets depend on the size of the blanket and on the cost of the material that you choose. If you are interested in me making one for you or a child in your life, I would be happy to talk to you about it. Just contact me at dakjas1999@yahoo.com

Here are pictures of two of the ones I have recently made for people. The first one is an infant blanket I made for a newborn. the second one was made for a three year old little girl.
